New Orleans Scholars Earn Ideas42 Fellowships

Spring 2017 | New Orleans

New Orleans Posse Scholars Elise Moore and Eva Frishberg have each earned a prestigious fellowship to work with Ideas42, a non-profit behavioral economics consulting firm. The competitive fellowship, which comes with an $11,000 stipend, will see both Scholars work for 10 weeks at Ideas42’s New York office.

Eva, who will graduate from Bard College this May, is majoring in psychology. For her, it will cap years of experience in related on-campus research.

“I’m so interested in this work,” she says. “It combines everything I want to do: psychology, behavior and public health.”

Elise, a third-year student at Tulane University, is an engineering major. She has wide-ranging career interests and looks forward to developing professionally through the Ideas42 experience.

Ideas42 brings together highly creative practitioners, industry and policy experts, and world-renowned behavioral economists and psychologists. Their projects cover a wide range of topics, from strengthening agriculture in Africa and Indonesia to consumer studies of fuel economy and car buying trends.

Both Scholars eagerly anticipate the many ways their fellowship experience will expand their horizons.
